Those seeking application for licensure need to undergo procedures for criminal background checks. Currently the Division of Consumer Affairs has begun fingerprinting Registered Nurses that are licensed in this state. They will not begin fingerprinting currently licensed dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants until 2008.
