Camden Students celebrated another Give Kids a Smile Day on 2.2.18, and provided care to a lot of children while having fun!

It has been a busy time at CCC this Spring! After Give Kids A Smile, we hosted “It’s Hygienic-National Board Challenge Game on April 14th. Hygiene Programs that participated in the wonderful day were Camden County College, Community College of Philadelphia, Harcum and Delaware Tech. Our CCC teams placed 2nd and 3rd! Our team also won the Poster Contest. Stacey Profit was also awarded the $400 scholarship given that day. Congratulations to all of the participants!

Congratulations to the Class of 2018!! At our Professional Induction Ceremony on May 15th, these graduates received the following awards:

Colgate S.T.A.R. Award- given to a student who has demonstrated dedication to the dental hygiene profession, compassion in patient care, and enthusiasm for community service: Recipient: Robin Collier

Dr. Greg Shupik Award-given to a student who has demonstrated a spirit of cooperation with team members and positive interaction with others: Recipient: Kenneth Vesco

Gurenlian Leadership Award-given to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities throughout the program: Recipient: Jessica Garwood

Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award-given to a student for excellence in clinical skills: Recipient: Natalie Masciocchi

Johnson & Johnson Patient Education Award-given to a student who demonstrates commitment to patient education: Recipient: Julia Piekarek

Sigma Phi Alpha-given to a student in the top ten percent of the class for excellence in the academic, clinical and professional aspects of dental hygiene: Recipient: Vanessa Gutin

SNJDHA Award-given to a student for active participation in the Hygiene Association and strong command of communication skills: Recipient: Kelsey Meehan

Southern Dental Society Award-given to a student for the highest grade point average: Recipient: Exon Michaca-Ramirez

The Class of 2019 is looking forward to the fall semester! A busy year is being planned including participation in community events such as Give Kids A Smile, campus activities and attending NJDHA’s Garden State Conference, hosting “It’s Hygienic-National Board Challenge Game and other educational opportunities.

The Class of 2019 would also like to welcome the Class of 2020 into the profession!!!!
