It has been a busy time at CCC this Spring! After Give Kids A Smile, we hosted “It’s Hygienic-National Board Challenge Game" on April 1st. Hygiene Programs that participated in the wonderful day were Camden County College, Rowan College at Burlington, Community College of Philadelphia and Delaware Tech. Our CCC team placed 2nd ! Congratulations to all of the participants! On April 22nd, our students and faculty participated and assisted in SNJDHA’s Oral Cancer Run. In one day, $9000 was raised for the cause.
Congratulations to the Class of 2017!! At our Professional Induction Ceremony on May 16th, these graduates received the following awards:
Nicole Dyer: Colgate STAR Award, given to a student who has demonstrated dedication to the dental hygiene profession, compassion in patient care, and enthusiasm for community service
Summer Wenzel: Dr. Greg Shupik Award, given to a student who has demonstrated a spirit of cooperation with team members and positive interaction with others
Deanna Toton: Gurenlian Leadership Award, given to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities throughout the program
Deanna Brown: Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, given to a student for excellence in clinical skills
Jennifer Torres: Johnson & Johnson Patient Education Award, given to a student who demonstrates commitment to patient education
Brittany Barton: Sigma Phi Alpha, given to a student in the top ten percent of the class for excellence in the academic, clinical and professional aspects of dental hygiene
Lauren DeRose: SNJDHA Award, given to a student for active participation in the Hygiene Association and strong command of communication skills: Recipient:
Brittany Barton: Southern Dental Society Award, given to a student for the highest grade point average

The Class of 2018 is looking forward to the fall semester! A busy year is being planned including participation in community events such as Give Kids A Smile, campus activities and attending NJDHA’s Garden State Conference, hosting “It’s Hygienic-National Board Challenge Game and other educational opportunities. The Class of 2018 would also like to welcome the Class of 2019 into the profession!!!!

Deanna Toten is the 2017 NJDHA Gurenlian Leadership Award winner from Camden County College.
Camden Students celebrated another Give Kids a Smile Day on 2.2.18, and provided care to a lot of children while having fun!
