Southern Meeting 3.31.19 at ML Hotel Breakfast & 3 CEUs!

Sleep Apnea

Come join us!
9:00am-9:30am membership meeting
9:30am-12:30pm CE course

Dental hygienists and dentists have a unique opportunity to be exposed to a wide array of patients. We already look in patients’ mouths, but what if we look a little farther, towards the airway? Once we understand more about the implications of obstructed breathing, we realize that we can change and even save people’s lives through educating and empowering our patients to get the proper care. This course will focus primarily on Obstructive Sleep Apnea and our role as oral health care providers in the management of this epidemic condition. We will learn about what signs and symptoms to look for, what questions to ask patients, how we can help facilitate patient’s getting proper care and how the dental professional can treat forms of OSA.
