It has been a very busy semester at the Camden County College Dental Department!
Students have been participating in the Give Kids A Smile program throughout the spring semester, providing preventive services to children and adolescents.
The partnership with LARC school for students with special needs expanded this year. Not only did Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students participate in a panel discussion, but they also performed hands-on screenings and in-classroom dental education at LARC. Additionally, on March 24th, LARC students visited our Dental Clinic for a “Day at the Dentist”. They experienced clinic (with oral hygiene instructions) and dental radiology. We are proud of our Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students for doing an outstanding job giving LARC students an incredible first dental experience.
In the process, Camden County College students learned how to care for and manage patients with special needs.
We are looking forward to continuing this valuable partnership.
