RDHs ADMINISTER VACCINES IN NJ!
We are proud to announce that NJ Dental Hygienists with Local Anesthesia Licenses are now allowed to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to help aid in the fight against this Pandemic!!
The Director of Consumer Affairs has signed into effect licensed dental hygienists, with local anesthesia certification, are able to administer the COVID-19 vaccine while NJ is in a State of Emergency or Public Health Emergency.
These vaccinations may be administered under the supervision of a doctor of medicine (M.D.), a doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.), a registered professional nurse (R.N.), an advanced practice nurse (A.P.N.), a physician assistant (P.A.), or a pharmacist (R.Ph.).
Great job NJDHA and to all of the hygienists that emailed in their support! Your voices were heard and have made the difference!!
